Yeah, kinda the reason I was perusing this thread. I’m sad to say, almost 2 weeks ago, our box fan fell out of the window between 2am-6am and she left 
She’s still around outside but isnt interested in the solitude of confinement even tho there is endless food and comfort. She’s the 3rd stray cat we’ve attempted to ‘help’ since living here but eventually it’s like they all want to be free again, bc they’ve known it already. Krieger baby is the only one we’ve had in this apartment since a kitten and I know in my heart he will never leave us(hes the best baby boy!). Today would have been Patiences first vet visit but I had to cancel it yesterday. I saw her late last night, and she meowed at me and then ran away. Sad, but reality.

Most definitly yea they do get a bad rep almost anywhere one of the reasons why i was having a hardtime finding a home no one would accept her she is from what i know a pitbull American pitbull terrier but she looks more of a staffy to me 
had to drive 2 hours to get her got her as a pup shes my everything 
i have a picture i think when she was a puppy let me find it …

I’m so sorry to hear that. You must be heart broken. What a bummer. Maybe. Just maybe patience will find you again. Keep your eyes open. And have hope. She might be close by. You never know. Put some more food out. They can be suckers for food.

She’s always around, somewhere. Now staying at a distance again like before. She was just at that age of almost in heat. I hoped to at least save her from having kittens outside, especially now that its getting colder. We’ll see. I ask her every time I see her ‘where are you going to sleep tonight?’. Maybe she’ll remember our couch, and how much she liked it once the temp really drops. Always an open door to the needy animal.

Oh that is so great to hear. Guess I missed that post. And especially the fact you stuck through it sober. It would have been really easy to say fuck it. And poor me. It’s amazing what we CAN do isn’t it? Great job. And so good for Fat Head.
I think my pets know I’m not drinking all the time or drunk all the time. They are always loving on me and me on them. Or maybe I just realize how great they really are now that I’m sober. It’s kind of it’s own buzz. A nice healthy one.

I love that ! We haven’t had an under the covers pet since Bowie my wife’s cat back in the 80’s. He did the same but got himself on top of her legs. We got plenty on top of the covers now. It pays off to be the first one in bed at my house. One of the reasons I go to bed early.

I notice that to i think its a mixture of both they know and now we know how good it feels wich makes it 10x more better its a win/win all around for us and our best friends and yea thanks not easy but i managed and pushed through couple times those thoughts came to my head but not today satan
