Found them! Mountain chickens are neat and funny birds. They will chase you and scream at you if they have young nearby.

Yes, it really is! It’s in Montenegro - a small country on the Adriatic Sea - the beaches are two Milocer beaches (the smaller one being extraordinarily beautiful) - and the peninsula was actually a cozy little island called Saint Stephen’s (Sveti Stefan).
