It has been a manky day here in Edinburgh but the sun shone briefly in between heavy rain and produced this lovely rainbow and highlighted the colour of this tree outside our house.

How is it to live in the desert? For me it’s hard to understand, why people live there. I need periods of cold weather and can’t stand heat.

I find this whole new desert :cactus: thing fascinating. The flora and fauna and just how anything can possibly grow in this eco system is one of Gods mysteries to me. I’ve been blessed to live many places. At my old age, and now that I’ve lost a lot of weight I’m always cold. So I don’t mind the heat. And I’m still freezing because of the air conditioning. If I had my choice of anywhere to live it would probably be Europe, specifically the UK or even Germany.
