Questions about Canada

North America and Europe. I had some pretty good coffee with @SoberWalker and her hubby in the Netherlands!

Speaking of "roast"ing in the US, I’ve found that it is almost impossible to get a cup of light roast coffee at most restaurants/fast food joints/etc., in the states. It is medium or dark roast, at least in the western mountain region all the way.

Would you say this is about the same in Canada?

@Olivia I love the light/blonde roasts that show case the more ‘nutty’ flavor that gets lost in the mediums and darks. I used to order blueberry coffee from Finland once a year too, until I found a local place that offered a blueberry light roast.

But to the point of the post, I’ve wondered if it is more common for more northern countries to have coffee which has more caffeine, like a blonde roast. If that was the case, then it would make sense for it to be consumed more widely in Canada’s more northern areas. But since Canada is neighbors with the U.S., and medium - dark roasts are favored, I wonder if that would change things.

I am in a desert area, so I have no actual experience with this.

Dear God, no. Tim Hortons coffee is utter sh!t. Starbucks is overpriced but at least their plain coffee is tasty.

I do t know about other provinces but Ontario requires a certain amount of French up to grade 9.

I saw Michael Bublé in concert last weekend and :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Smarties are WAY better than M&Ms

(And Canadian Smarties are not the same as American……American Smarties are called Rockets here)

Canada has a different kind of smarties than America?

Smarties used to love those as a kid. They were originally made a few miles away from me in York by a company called rowntrees then nestle swallowed them up they also used to make kitkats.

Peas on toast? Do people in Canada put ketchup on their scrambled eggs? Some people in America do that and its like this whole controversy. Same thing aa pineapple on pizza.

I do not, nor do I pineapple my pizza. Actually I dont do any sweet/meat combo, its just not my thing. I think the ketchup on the eggs thing started to get babies to eat scrambled eggs and then some people just never let that go.
