Quiet Retreats

Isolation is enemy number one for me when it comes to alcoholism. I always drank alone so i didnt have to explain how much I drank.

Now in sobriety, isolation on a spritual level is welcome. Everyone needs to recharge. Everyone likes quiet time once in awhile.

I drove out to the woods to stay in a cabin with no heat or water. Im comfy though. These posts help.

Sounds really nice. I could use some quiet from the outside world for a bit. Enjoy!

Man Shawn,
You just said so much in those 3 short paragraphs. Very powerful stuff. There is just simply so much that so many of us can relate with in what you wrote. I commend you for joining the forum and hope you stick around here, sincerely. Enjoy your spiritual retreat and take care, Tom

The best remedy for those who are afraid,
lonely or unhappy is to go outside,
somewhere where they can be quiet,
alone with the heavens, nature and God.
Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be
and that God wishes to see people happy,
amidst the simple beauty of nature.
I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.
