Hello,
Its been a long tim3 since I’ve posted. Im several years clean off my d.o.c alcohol but lately I’ve decided to take another step and quit vaping nicotine, basically cold turkey.
Its day 3 now. And I woke up nauseous, threw up 4x, went back to bed and woke up dizzy as fuck.
Is this normal? Lol or am I losing my mind. I was a HEAVY vape addict. The thing was basically sewed to my hand morning day and night. Id wake up in the middle of the night for a hit sometimes.
Send help lol
Thanks.

Hello and welcome back. Glad you’re here and deciding to make another solid life choice by quitting vaping. I was never a heavy nicotine user, so I can’t speak to your “is this normal” questions, but just wanted to say hi and welcome.
If you were using as heavily as you say, would it be possible and wise to consult your doctor?
I’m sure someone with more nicotine demons than I will be along shortly enough to share some wisdom.
Cheers.

Glad to hear you chose to add nicotine to your list of substances you quit, and congrats on your years of sobriety from alcohol!
I definitely suffered from some wild withdrawals as well, you are not going crazy! I too basically had my vape on me at all time, and would also wake up in the middle of the night to take a few puffs. After smoking/vaping for 16 years the physical/emotional withdrawals were rough. I’m going to include a link below to a website that has some good info on withdrawal symptoms and suggestions for management!
I used an oral replacement that helped me deal with craving, a interdental brush that was made of soft plastic that I could fill the hand to mouth movement! There are a couple thread on TS about this subject that I will link below! Give these a read and maybe you’ll find something that will help you!
Summoning all former ashtrays
Grumpy A-holes (quitting cigarettes/ nicotine products) (Part 2)
It’s a difficult task to be sure, but so worth it. No more morning cough, no more hacking up black gunk, and no more panic when I can’t find my device. Just to name a few things that eventually faded. I’m 5.5 months in and will say it is one of the best decisions I’ve made, period.
I’m glad to see you reaching out for help, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need additional support!

Completely normal for quitting nic. You not only quitting nic your quitting nic vape. Ciggs suck enough when yoh withdraw. Then add vaping which you can do in bed at 2am and pass back out asleep.
It may seem impossible to imagine but weather you want to quit or even dont, if you stop nic, muscle through the withdrawal till it ends, and ignore your own cravings for nic, you will get to a point you just will pass on them with ease
I didnt want to quit my vape. I swaer i didnt want to
16mg all day everyday
I quit for my baby boy
The withdrawal felt like i just couldnt do it and it lasted a while. I thought id never heal
Now
I see it and i say no.. nothing else happeneds. No questioning myself, no feeling the pain of withdrawal.
