Replacing alcohol and marihuana

When I stopped drinking and smoking I found a replacement even worst to me; food.
I’ve been sober of marihuana about 4 months but eating has become my new addiction, I feel even worst because I’m eating nonstop or not eating at all, I’m working on my emotions to find a balance but it’s really hard to find the difference between eating and these episodes of binge eating

Great job on your 4 months of sobriety. I do know how frustrating it is to take on a replacement addiction. We have to figure out how to find a healthy coping mechanism for dealing with our feelings.

Talking to someone about your feelings and sorting out why you lean to filling the “hole” with “something” could be helpful. If you are not already - would you be willing to see a therapist.
