Its not very terrifying. More information based. Only a few parts with gruesome details. Not many gross images.
Maybe i should put in a trigger warning though. There were some flashing images of women being abused and a few nudes that fl as shed across the screen. I think this was for the shock value, but they were also discussing that kind of content in relation to Ted Bundy at the time.
This is a completely separate issue than alcohol. Im not going to assume that i know everything about alcoholism, but i do know a significant amount about sex addiction.
Regardless of whether there are companies that treat the porn stars equitably (few and far between), the fact remains that at large the industry is full of drug abuse, trafficking, rape, and a culture of sexism and racism.
You might say that the industry cannot be responsible for the actions of one serial killer, sure. That being said, anyone who consumes pornography are indirectly supporting the horrible things that happen therein.
I dont think itâs offensive to the victims at all. It gives the families and friends of those who died something to fight against. Thise who become addicted (which is more prevalent than you might believe) cannot just consume mild forms their whole lifes either. It is progressive and must get harder and darker with continued years of abuse.
I think itâs best you leave this thread then. You will find no sympathy from me on your views supporting the sex industry. Dont you dare claim that Iâm spouting hate speech either.
I dont know what your experience is with the sex industry, and i dont want to know. Freedom of sexual expression shouldnt be virtual, it should be about connecting to people. Not selfishly indulging and isolating.
I saw that too, ive also read before that something like 85% of convicted serial rapists and serial killers admitted to having an unhealthy obession with pornography. In most cases it ramped up from sexual assaults to murder and once they were imprisoned they turned to drugs and alcohol because it was easy to get them and the addict brain only knows one thingâŚseeking pleasure.
As for the other topic being discussed atm i will say ive watched my share of porn and while i have no doubt some do it because they actually enjoy it a lot of them do look like theyre high and ive known a lot of girls in my own druggie life that hung around the dealers house sleeping with guys just to get that next hit.
I am a former adult entertainment worker. In 7 yrs not once I came across a girl that was working because of her need to âexpress her sexualityâ. Itâs always need of $ and/or drugs((
Oh, ha. I meant in relation to films about the pornography industry more than that Bundy flick. That sense of, I can fully imagine some of what happens may be very dark. I have to ask myself, do I want to really see that, or accept it at face value?
Heres an article speaking about whether porn consumption between partners is healthy or damaging for a relationship. There are research articles posted for reference as well.
