Revealing the dark world of the Porn Industry - Articles May Be Triggering

Her book is available in the US, the title is Slave Girl. And I will be reading it. If I run into a video of hers, I will be sharing it. But I have no access to the web and YouTube at this time.

@DungeonMaster, when I have a chance, I’ll give myself the opportunity to check out each of the articles that you posted above under family supervision. They look very informative. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks @DungeonMaster and @Fargesia_murielae,

I got a chance to read all of these links.

Not triggering. Instead sobering.

Shelley Lubben and the Pink Cross Foundation

I’m going be posting my videos with Shelley Lubben. Some of you certainly know of her sad state of affairs which ended in her death. It goes to show that the ramifications of doing porn continue to haunt the performers long after they stop.

But one thing is certain. She had a gift of really connecing to the male porn addict when she spoke. For me, listening to her speak shocks me out of the desire to act out

Day 18 no pmo. Bit of a down day. I haven’t been through this thread much, I wonder if focusing on the problem too much within myself is the right approach, I know the problem well. I’m trying to focus on the solution. One day at a time. N like many of you it’s something I’ve struggled with in many regards for almost half my life.

My last Shelley Lubben video that I’m posting is the Dead Porn Stars Memorial.

What’s tragically sad is that Shelley Lubben suffered the same fate as all of these others. Several years ago, she got herself back into alcohol and substance abuse. She divorced her husband and ran off with a younger man who is currently in prison. The Pink Cross Foundation ended in 2015.

Shelley was found dead in her trailer in February 2019. It was one week after her oldest daughter, Tiffany committed suicide. It goes to show that many of these porn stars suffer from some very serious emotional and physical issues. And they continue to impact far after they leave the porn industry. May they all rest in peace.

It goes without saying that being in that industry takes a heavy psychological toll on the performers. We as humans are given an innate sense of what is right and wrong. People will argue til they are blue in the face that porn is okay and that the actors enjoy it. Deep inside though, people realize that indulging in casual, flippant sexual behavior is not how we are designed to be and that it is wrong.

Aside from that, the actresses are often subjected to emotional, and physical abuse.

It’s interesting to note the a comment made in this video mentions that pornography is one of the main engines that drive sex trafficking.

Absolutely! Without the constant access to sex through the internet, sex addiction would be far less prevalent. Since it is, the demand for prostitution has risen dramatically in the last few decades.

And by getting my fix from the internet, I become a contributor. I add to the problem. I add to the demand. Which encourages the industry to traffick more people to meet the demand.

What’s disturbing about the above video is that after rescuing about 20 girls from being sex trafficked, the police there allowed the perpetrators to escape with all the girls within the next few minutes.

Human Trafficking explained. It is more prevalent than you realize. Porn is inseparably linked to it.

One of the lies that I tell myself while acting out is that I’m not hurting anybody because nobody is being hurt.

The first victim’s story recounts how she was made to perform sex acts at an adult bookstore while others were watching. This was before the internet.

The fact is, when I’m watching porn, I really don’t know how willing the object of my lust is. It’s a sobering reminder to me how I have contributed to this problem.

It’s so true. I think they want it and enjoy it, but the truth is that there’s absolutely no way for me to know this. They are acting and some are being forced into the acts. If they dont perform well, then they have bad consequences.

I remember reading a story about a girl who was scheduled for a scene one day, but was very ill and had a high fever. She was forced to perform, being choked and gagged to the point where she vomited. All the cues she’d been taught for signaling the male actor to let up were ignored. She sustained injuries from the scene as well.

With how filming works, producers are able to edit out everything that doesnt fit with the image they want you to see. What looks like a 30 minute scene actually took many hours and sometimes several days of filming to get usable footage.

It just makes me sick thinking about what I’ve contributed toward.
