Oh my goodness yes!

You do better than me. I don’t track the miles on my shoes :see_no_evil_monkey:

This was suppose to progress the opposite way :upside_down_face: I felt really strong the first 5-6 miles. Not so much the last 3 but I got it done and it will be a building block. This run got me to 100k ran for the month!

You probably know this, but Runna will track it for you. Kind of handy. Although, I have gone back to little slips of paper by each pair that I update. Why? Because I’m a bit of a freak that needs to capture every moment in my shoes

5K Sunday- I started out with easy run mentality and to just not take walk breaks and then by mile 3 I was just in it. Plus I had to get it done before the sun came up cause we are under a heat advisory- High of 103F  You will find me inside for the rest of the day

@Gorden I just found the add shoes part of Runna a few days ago :woman_facepalming:t2: I normally just wear my shoes for 6 months to a year. Most of the time I can feel when I need a new pair

Today was a good running day. I was going for an easy run and did 5mi. Rest day yesterday and good sleep helped. I even hit an OTF class after.

Glad my stamina didn’t drop after two weeks off. Not the best, but I was expecting worse.

I guess we all ran today :face_with_hand_over_mouth: Mine was not great- I started before the sun came up and it was already hot. There were 18!!! intervals all together. I found the .12 intervals very hard. Runna suggested changing my pacing goals and so I did. It makes the next few interval/tempo runs look much more manageable/slower. I only have a week and a half left in this plan and then I take some time off and start my half marathon plan next month.

Whats this type of run supposed to help? The 1k into broken ks?

Interval runs in general are supposed to help with getting faster. Runna is always doing different interval runs. I think to keep it interesting but this was a little too interesting lol

Since Runna changed my pacing goals this was pretty easy but I had to throw walk breaks into the run to keep the pace closer to the goal.

On a different note- I’m really struggling with comparison  Running has always been hard for me. I enjoy the feeling of completing a run but it’s not something that is easy. The hubs has been running for less than a year and has already smashed through doing a 5k in under 30 mins and is on the verge of doing a 10k in under an hour. All these years I’ve been running I’ve never hit the goal of sub 30 5k. I got close a few years ago. I know it’s jealousy and it’s not good for my mental but I am having a hard time just celebrating him without wishing it was that easy for me. I hate that we now have running as a common hobby but that it’s bringing out jealousy and envy in me. I even had the thought of stopping running this morning.
