Running in Recovery in 2024

Running in the cold is an extreme sport in my mind. Good for you @Runningfree

Facts lol Honestly once I turned the corner and the headwind wasn’t hitting me it really wasn’t that bad. I enjoy cold running but not when we have 20mph gusts

It was 33 here :upside_down_face: I broke out the fleece, oh and some new shoes I got from amazon on sale for $40! I love them. Some asics verablast 3. Nice and lightweight

My endurance has definitely taken a hit. Walked between the intervals and pretty sure I went out too fast. That’s alright though, no where but up to go from here

The in-laws got me a light up vest I’ve been wanting for Christmas :christmas_tree::running_woman:t2::heart_eyes:

First and last run of the year. Sometimes you can run away or around the problems for a while :see_no_evil::zipper_mouth_face:

Always enjoy running through some of my childhood and university memories.

That’s some nice distance and very good time you have there! Your run gave me a kick to put my running shoes on and go out as well! But idk, just had my breakfast… Wish I would see your post one hour later

I started running back in august and i love it! I’ve only been getting in one run per week though. I’ve been using the Fitness 22 app, 5k runner or something and tracking on strava. My next run will be 30mins of solid running.

Looking at getting a watch to track my running & swimming. Not sure if it’s worth it. Would be interested in hearing who has one and why, etc…

When you run do you carry food & water? I haven’t been, but nearly passed out a couple of weeks ago, so now i run with a bottle of water in one hand and a museli bar in the other… Im thinking of putting them into some sort of convenient and comfy vessel that i wear :joy:

I had same questions few months ago and I listened to wise ones here and bought myself Garmin Forerunner55. Of course there are better ones but this one fits to my budget. And it works perfectly!

It will be nice!! I have almost been hit by cars a few times. I’m always on the lookout but them not so much, especially when it’s like 430am

The more lights you have the better. I run in the morning in the dark and use a head light and another on my waist, and a reflective jacket.

Didn’t go as the workout says because I took a few walk breaks but I’ll get back to the swing of things
