I loved sewing before all this alcohol shit started. I also loved to do paintings, knit or crochet.
@siand hi, yes I have two booked in. The Isle of Wight challenge in May for Mind charity and 60 miles through Normandy for the British legion. I’ve never done the 3 peaks but always fancied it. It might be a bit much to do 3 events this year as it tends to be the same people that sponsor me each time. Good lick though and I shall certainly follow your progress!
Ah a friend of mine did the Isle of Wight recently, said it was great. Did it for pleasure rather than a challenge though so spread it out a bit more. Walking through France sounds lovely, although I appreciate it will probably be a bit less pleasant the way you will be doing it. A leisurely stroll through the south of France sounds like my ideal holiday though!
Do share your progress on that thread too, the more the merrier
I would love to start a veg garden but it feels like such a big commitment… It’s probably because I don’t really know how to do it. I am trying some houseplants at the moment and going to do some conservation volunteering this year to see if it helps give me some green fingers!
I’ve been an Edmonton Oilers fan since 1983 but enjoy any game at any level
Looks good man!!
Thanks. It’s an ugly for the most part now, but I’m trusting the process lol. Gonna be nice when I get it all painted and finished. Guy saw me working on it and asked for some help with his, think I will if I have the time.
Even got tubes put into the bikes and took the wheel and trucks off the penny board that got ran over and cracked yesterday and got them onto the old board. Quite the productive day.
I bet it’ll come out great. Looks smooth to me.
I love some productive days!
I hope so. It’s pretty smooth but still some low spots. Little more filler and a lot more sanding lol. This is the most time I’ve ever put into anything that Ive made, gonna be sweet when it’s all done up.
I have tons of paint, ordered a hunk of clay, but haven’t had the time to make things since I’m now back in college, and working 2 jobs…but one day I will be artsy again!!!
For about ten years before our baby arrived to smash up our body clocks I spent lots of time rock climbing and pot holing. As his sleeping pattern gets stronger i am going to have enough energy to go back to it.
That’s so cool seeing the progress! And awesome that you might be able to help someone else too
Climbing looks really fun, it’s something I’d like to try. Probably indoor to start! Although I know someone who had a slip a while back, sprained their ankle and was on crutches for a month
Skeleton of the dash pod.
Forming up
Glassed and fillin her out
Little more rough work, then some fine sanding, then paint. Couple more days.
Yes, it’s a thing you have to start small with. You should give it a go, try bouldering at a local indoor centre first. I hope your are well today. X
Put a coat of filler primer on, showed a lot of imperfections lol, guess I shoulda invested in a guide coat of some sort. Still learning. Sanded it down some with some 120 and planning on hitting it with glaze from U Pol. Little more block sanding, then another coat of primer, some wet sand and should be good for paint. I hope lol. Speakers arrived yesterday and now I’m ready to get them in and turn it up. Once the front stage is good, time to try and build a nice sub box. Can’t wait lol
Got some of the neighbor guys stuff done. He has a K5 and it’s a much easier task. Made a copy of his trim, rounded the edges, made some rings, stilted the ring, fleeced it and got a coat of resin on. I thought the 3M home depot resin was goopy… the napa stuff he supplied me with was like a concrete mix.
Also if any of ya’ll are familiar with body work, please feel free to recommend steps, procedures or products.
I’m familiar with body work, but probably not the kind of body work you’re looking for…
