Thistle is healing for your liver too. Just in case you needed another tie in, it can be a sobriety celebration as well.
I have 9, the only one I don’t have a picture of is the lightning bolt behind my ear. 1st pic are my first 2. A heart on my chest, and a unicorn on my arm. 2nd pic is mine and my boyfriend’s matching heart tattoos. 3rd pic is my Dr. Manhattan inspired wrist tattoo. 4th is an alien above my knee. 5th is Spike from My Little Pony on my calf. 6th pic is my tattoo I got after I got clean from opiates. The last picture is my Gemini tattoo I got for my best friend. (She got my Aquarius on her finger.)
That is so similar to mine. . Mine is a little less detailed though
Edit: the only thing I would change in yours is to make the sideways loops (they look a bit like infinity symbols) should get smaller as you go up rather than wider….that way it shows that the confusion and chaos LESSENS as we learn and grow. Just a suggestion.
Good point!!! Thanks
Man I love that!
The mirror writing in this tattoo is because of my admiration of da Vinci.
Have you read Isaacson‘s book on him?
I have! Really amazing stuff.
All this ink is making me so excited to get my other sleeve done!
Why the rooster and a pig? USN vet?
Soooo, I am thinking about getting my very first tattoo, and so many thoughts of how big, visible or private, where, etc. This is the image I would use, any thoughts for a first timer?
Awesome … unique, I never seen a tattoo like that , yet!..do it!
Go big or go home sir, I’m thinking left hip to right shoulder all across the back
Would look nice ankle upwards across the calf.
I’m thinking of getting another. Currently I only have a crusader cross on my back (they bore them on shields to represent them being researchers/explorers but willing to bear arms if needed).
Long story short: I got all my tattoos (5) between the ages of 17 and 23, my dumbest of years. I regret all but 1, which I won’t show because it has my last name.
The first one I got at 17 in my aunt’s dining room. It’s the one I regret most, I really got it because I just wanted a tattoo so badly. I figured at the time, Celtic cross, for my heritage. But I’m not particularly religious, the tattoo itself really has no relevance to me, and not to mention he did a shit job. It’s not as wonky as it looks in the photo, just the angle of my arm. But the knots are not consistent widths and there’s just a whole slew of sloppiness.
My last tattoo was 10 years ago and given my regret, I have been hesitant ever since. However, I do want to cover this one up. Just not sure what I want yet. Something relating to my move out here and my new home. Something incorporating a saguaro, a coyote, a rattler, the desert. Going to look around for artists here and see if I find anyone with a style I like and who could do a solid cover-up.
The only 2 tattoos I have right now. I plan to get many more. Sorry if the first photo isn’t great. It says “better than yesterday”
I bet y’all have some good artists out there. It doesn’t look like it should be hard to cover up especially with a scene like that. I look forward to the after!
My fav is my bunny boat! “RelationSHIP between me and myself”. My friend did it at his shop during a party and after he did a suspension where he pulled 6 people on a metal dolley by hooks in his arms! So his handwriting was wobbly and pressure was off and it turned out PERFECT! Its a doodle by an online artist (I paid him for the credit) and his thing is raw work and handwriting. It’s meant to be about me not being perfect, anyway. It’s on my knee! And then my bat on my collarbone and my lucky cat on my wrist! (Removed pic of lucky cat for a trigger)
