I got my paint by numbers set today. Honestly, I’m really intimidated - the spaces look really small. I thought I got a beginner version. It’s a set of four and one of them looks a little easier, so I’ll start with it. I got a diamond art coaster set, too. I finished one of the coasters. It was fun and relaxing. I don’t do well sitting and doing ā€œunproductiveā€ things. I always have to be doing something, being productive, making efficient use of my time. So I’m hoping these two projects will help me chill and quiet the anxiety and craziness in my brain for short periods of time.

I love this! Procreate is an amazing app, it has helped me expand my artistic abilities and push my comfort zone boundary!

Hi all, this is my latest commission piece I just finished and turned in to patron. It was based off of his photo of a moonrise at 3AM taken by his drone camera in Florida.

Today is 2 weeks cannabis FREE

I’ve been continuing with my felting. I’m making five little cats, and this one is the Persian cat.

My cats like the smell of the wool and do very bad things to it if left unattended. :smiling_face_with_horns::see_no_evil_monkey:

I use matte / satin medium as a vehicle for the paint, I mix whatever color I’d like and do visual blending via layers.. translucent layers. So many layers …. Look up lazure painting . I do that on walls but have translated that idea to small works. I also use white as an added background when I want to bring something forward and then add color on top of it as a glaze to make the color reflect more light. I do not add white to color to lighten it, only for toning. My way of blending is nothing like wet on wet in oil.. ( I wish it could be) however! You can use a retardant in the acrylic and blend better that way. Or use open acrylics ( like golden)

Hope this helps!

9,280 out of 19,200 dots complete! By far the most ambitious artist undertaking I’ve ever attempted! Once all 19,200 pencil guiding dots are down, I will begin with the 19,200 marker dots of blue, black, red and rainbow patterns!

Planning on naming this piece ā€œUmbrella of Loveā€ for my best friends new born daughter who will be one year old in September! They need art for the walls of the nursery, so I figured go big or go home :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::call_me_hand:

Will provide updates once I finish the pencil!

So it’s going to all pointillism? Is that wood panel? Will you use sharpies or alcohol markers? Or Posca pens?
