Just a quick sketch, havenât tried a face in a long time. Itâs a little off but im still happy for being done in pen
Thatâs really good, in pen too !! Iv been learning to sketch for the past few weeks itâs really enjoyable.
I am trying to teach my self so I can sketch portraits of my kids it pencil and it looks like a photo⌠like what you are doing there.
You should do more, for me it really helps my mental health too as once you start itâs all I can concentrate on.
Thanks twizzle, I love and miss drawing I really like realism and portraits like you. Looking forward to seeing your drawings
This is all i have so far ⌠and a sketch book full of noses
I dont actually have any idea about technique, i have been doing step by step draw with me on you tube.
You defo should keep doing it, you have skills.
That is amazing work yourself. Your doing great and I like the steps you are taking youâll be a an amazing portrait artist
Awesome work! I love seeing people connect with their inner artist in recovery!
Its good to see you posting your amazing art!
Started as a doodle to make sure I had expression eyebrows correct and became itâs own mini sketch thing
Found some of my old art from high school and right before I started using very heavily. It was very humbling and wild to look at it and think of how much skill I had 13-14 years ago.
I was so close to going to art school but but was influenced by some adults around me that it wouldnât be a great idea and I wasnât the type to push back at that point, so.
Trying to get back in touch with that; the focus is there again now that Iâm clear headed which is exciting. Itâs really like riding a bicycle, I still have the skill set, I just have to reawaken that part of myself.
I know this is just a tiny doodle but I have some other unfinished full scenes that Iâd like to finish and put up here soon
Nice! I loved art when I was a kid, and was never encouraged either. Reconnecting has been really good for me. I love seeing others get reconnected! We live in a world that disconnects us from our inner artist.
Thanks!
And well said, itâs such an unlearning process of removing the âhustleâ culture/grindset. The guilt Iâve had to grapple with and get over to do things I actually justâŚenjoy, for the sake of happiness, is wild.
The concept of doing something for myself without monetizing it or whatever felt almost foreign to me until recently, honestly. Also stepping away from all my social media forms except here has hastened changing that thought pattern that as well.
Happy to do it though, itâs brought me back to art and teaching myself piano, and thatâs pretty exciting
This is really cool! I love the depth youâve created.
I love purple anything especially roses! Nice art!!
