SKYDIVING to celebrate first month of sobriety!

I booked a skydive to celebrate my first month of sobreity, and yesterday was the big day!

It was amazing, intense and the most thrilling thing I have done. Also extremely frightening, I was so close to pulling out when we were on the plane!

I kept my anxiety in check (would not have been possible without sobriety, I 100% would have given in to the fear) and jumped.

An incredible experience!

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

@anon13078412, it was in Suffolk. It was around 240 mile round trip for me from North London. The company was called ukparachuting and they were great! You should definitely do one mate.

Congratulations on a month! Keep up the good work. As an Air Force veteran we never jump out of a perfectly good aircraft!!!

Great pictures and congratulations with your first month :tada:
Curious about what you are going to do when your 2 months sober :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Haha. I think I might do a bungee jump for 3 months. I actually find the idea of a bungee more frightening than skydiving for some reason. As someone who has/had a fear of heights I want to keep testing myself along the journey!

I have fear of heights, won’t ever like the things you do or are planning to do. If I have a milestone I buy jewellery :ring: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This is another level of facing your fears, I am so impressed! Honestly I couldn’t imagine doing this, I have a fear of heights as well. Congrats on your Sobriety!
