Good news! I’m glad it wasn’t worst case scenario. It’s unbelievable what we put our body through whilst throwing in the poison. I’m really pleased for you, happy 14.5 days!!!
Yeah man, really good news.
Try and hold on to how you felt before you got those results. Next time the cravings kick in you might need to remind yourself of that fear.
Thank you
100% agree!
That’s wonderful news - happy for you!
Congratulations to you! On the scan results and on the sobriety
Thank you!
Thanks Matt!
That’s great news! I JUST watched a podcast where they mentioned the 2 causes of fatty liver, sugar and alcohol. Cut those out and your golden.
Yes!!! This is fantastic news. Just came to check in and saw this!
So pleased for you @mgwebber1986
Congratulations — what a relief!
I saw your first post about this and how scary it was for you. I didn’t get the chance to reply but I was in the same boat. When they did the scan it showed that I had mild fatty liver. It was a good wake up call for me to make some changes. I was also grateful because not everyone gets a second chance.
Keep at it and let your liver heal. Eat right, exercise, and take your vitamins. The liver can be a strong little one if we treat it right.
Sending you all the best!
That’s great news, congratulations!!!
Thank you, they did say my spleen is bigger than normal though but they said that could be because I’m a big guy and 6"2.
Excellent news. More of an incentive to stay on the path you are on. Great work on your sober time
I’m fairly new to the Talking Sober site but ran across your story about your abnormal liver tests and your Doctor wanting you to have an ultrasound performed. Happy your scan gave you some relief but I’m sure your Doctor told you a fatty liver is not to be taken lightly. That’s what my Doctor told me. I have a fatty liver also. It was discovered by a CT scan I had for a breathing test. My lab work, liver tests, all showed in the normal range. Only thing off scale was my cholesterol which can contribute to fatty liver. Doc told me it’s common to have normal liver readings and still have fatty liver. Guess in a way it was good that your readings concerned your Doc and you had that test done otherwise you wouldn’t have known. Like other have said, now we can take steps so our liver can heal. I wish you the best as I’m on this journey with you!!!
