Just back from watching Spurs vs Shakhtar Donetsk. They opened with the Ukrainian national anthem and then a minute’s silence, very moving. We won and just hoping it isn’t Harry Kane’s last game.

Sorry. But I don’t know any other kind. I’ve never had a reason to pay attention to them. Can’t wait to see how they go. Definitely be fun to throw them in the mix.

Y’all enjoy your football season my American and Canadian friends. Over here in Europe, in Paris, tonight the Rugby World Cup started, with the hosts beating the All Blacks 27-13, the first time ever New Zealand lost a World Cup match at the group stage. Seven weeks of beautiful carnage to come.
For me it’s the best sports team event in the world. I like it better than the football (which some of you refer to as soccer) World Cup. IMHO it also comes closest to the original game of football, which is illustrated by this picture.

Great sporting Sunday over here. Tour of Spain 
, World Cup rugby Scotland vs South Africa, half time now, SA leading 6-3, all to play for, super physical match. But highlight of the day for me is my nephew Simon winning silver in the world rowing championships, in his first tournament in a single seater boat. Promises for the Olympics next year!
