Respect!
If snoop can, anyone can
I just learned another one. Eddie Van Halen. I grew up, thinking that big smile on his face and the bottle of Jack Daniels was not affecting him at all. Turns out, he spent years and years sitting in a dark house, drinking vodka, and doing cocaine until the point where his teeth fell out. And it all started because a drink would help him calm down before performance
I didn’t realize he got sober
Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper…
Elle Macpherson (20 years sober!) and amazing chef Gregory Gourdet (was on top chef and other chefy shows). Gregory also is on sobriety podcasts and talks about his recovery - it’s awesome.
The hilarious Will Arnett. Starred in a great show aboout alcoholism called Flaked.
Jacoby Shaddix papa roach.
Craig ferguson he was my fav late night host. Went to his stand up show and was hilarious
Welcome to the community. That’s great. Congrats on 5 days

Love Tony great example for AA , when im his age ill be 50 years sober but its only ADAAT
And she killed Michael Myers. She probably couldn’t have done that high.
I never saw how the saga ended
TBH I’m so not into horror I had to google to understand what you were talking about.
Love Jamie Lee!! And yeah, I have been following her in Halloween since the beginning. She is Hollywood Royalty. I wonder if she has a memoir…I am going to check. I know she writes children’s books.
Edited to add…she has not written a memoir…but here is a really nifty interview with her and Colin Farrell about their big movies last year (LOVE Banshees of Inshierin) and their sobriety…
Love him so much!!! (Off topic…Have you seen The Eagles special from some years back? So worth watching).
I could listen to Joe Walsh play all day long. Soundtrack of my youth!
That’s super cool! I never did see them in person. I was pretty fond of live shows back in the late 70s and early 80s, most of those stories would include some major TWs.
He is my favorite! There’s a recording of him being the keynote speaker at the huge meeting in Ohio. First words out of his mouth, it doesn’t matter if you’ve been sober for one day, or 70 years, if you’re here, you’ve already had all the fun, you’re gonna have with alcohol!
Actually, his first solo album after getting sober, has a great song that helped me in the beginning. I’ll look for it on YouTube and post it here.
