I made breakfast, watched a silly movie with my family, watched some church programs, and took a 2.5 mile walk. And it was pretty close to perfect.

Your day sounds pretty amazing too.

How’s everyone’s Saturdays shaping up? Moving into Saturday evening here.

I watched Robot Wars on the telly this morning (a repeat, but of one of the recent ones). Such a good show! Recorded a dance for a virtual event I’m in, it isn’t the best but it’s all amateur and low key so that’s cool. It was fun anyway.

This evening, pizza. Might try an oat flour dough but will see what we’ve got.

Had some challenges this weekend - out myself on Sat night, and home without the husband Sun night. Not tempted at all. Fresh faced to deal with play dates and homework with the kids. A bank holiday tomorrow so off again.

What did you get up to? And any plans for bank holiday Monday?

My perfect Sunday is starting with a cuppa coffee. Writing my Thanksgiving shopping list. My son and gf are coming from FL. My younger son lives local. He and gf will join us. My SO, who I live with has a daughter locally. We will be 7. I respect those who choose to not gather due to COVID. Maybe I am foolhardy…but I’m taking the plunge.

Quiet weekend here. Visited MIL’s yesterday for an outside distance visit. Little guy did math in the sand. Proud mama lol
MIL likes to talk politics which makes me cringe but I sipped away on my chai tea and tried to breath the cold air deeply
Today I’m currently playing with my little guy. Colouring, trucks, forts. Been more anxious than usual but he’s a good distraction for me.
Enjoy your Sunday, sober family.

What an awesome picture…you live in a beautiful place. Anxiety has been heavy here too lately…I’ve tried CBD oils and meditation. Staying off the news channels and just trying to live in the moment  I hope yours subsides soon. Saw this article also and made me giggle and I thought of you…is this an issue where you live?

When is thanksgiving? Just for information. And I am too lazy to Google it.

Thanksgiving in the US is Thursday Nov 26th. Canada had theirs in October.

Haha, not in my area fortunately. But I have some family out east who’ve run into many moose on the roads (especially Cape Breton and Newfoundland). Makes sense they’d be kicking the salt :joy:

Thursday? Ah, so it is always in the 26th?

It’s always the last Thursday in November.

That’s what I like here. Besides saying sober and growing I learn from different people and cultures around the world. A win win situation :sunflower::yum:

Same here. I love getting to know the different cultures. Another benefit of sobriety. This forum is priceless for me in so many ways.

Full hibernation mode yesterday. Started with catching the 2016 Robot Wars Grand Final (epic!) and then got stuck on the sofa. Watched a lot fo come dine with me as well as some 80s game shows :see_no_evil:

Did manage to drag myself off the sofa to go to the shop for some nice cheese and bread for the ultimate comfort food dinner, grilled veg & cheese on toast.

And got sent this puzzle from a friend which I worked on with some friends via private message which was fun.

Started my Sunday with a walk up the hill, trying (again) to build more time outside into my days to help deal with this wave of depression. Got a Recovery Dharma meditation class this morning and this afternoon will be making my mincemeat ready for Christmas.

That looks so tasty!! I loved Come Dine With Me. I was so said when it ended (unless it’s back on again? I don’t have cable anymore). There was also a Come Dine With Me Canada edition.
