Sober Selfies #10 (shirts required, please review rules)

Nice to see you checking in Jess. Good hair day or bad hair day. :joy: Can’t beat a sober hair day though. And it’s pretty impressive you got over 1500 sober hair days. Congratulations. Tell Ben Happy birthday. I hope the next dining experience knocks y’all’s socks off.

Hair plopping. Curly hair technique. @Salty you should try it. No time for hair dryers in the summer!

Your cheeky smile always makes me think you’ve just said something low-key a little bit naughty, and are waiting to see if anyone notices.
It’s fantastic!

Haha maybe I’ll try this “plopping” you speak of! No hair dryers for me, just air dry. Looking cute!

2 years today ago I got diagnosed with the wicked liver cirrhosis. Been having some funky symptoms lately but 863 days sober from alcohol still! :star2::star2::star2:

That is a lot of sober hair days :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::rofl:
It was crazy to have two completely different dine in experiences like that. We haven’t really gone out since I started Intermittent Fasting because it makes it hard to keep track of my calories. Plus I’d rather cook at home so I know exactly what goes into it.
I don’t know if the birthday dinner was bad because it was super busy so the food sat to long in the window or if it was because the cooks made it wrong :woman_shrugging:t3:
I spent my whole life in the restaurant business. Doing every part. I talked to the manager. I could tell our waitress was extremely overwhelmed and busy. I felt so bad. She was so nice and kept a smile but that poor girl had way to many tables and they were scattered.
There were only 3 servers for the whole place and they were honestly using the whole restaurant :woman_facepalming:t3:
The manager took more than half our bill off since neither of us ate our steaks.
I have thought about going back to waiting tables but watching that girl last night reminded me exactly why I can’t. So many people were rude to her. I tipped her more then what my bill total was. I left her a little note letting her know not everyone in the world was a jerk.

Guess who got cleared for wall push-ups!!! The physical therapist felt the need to make sure I know I’m only allowed to put them in 2 workouts a week. Progress people!!!

It’s the first step to getting to a non modified push-up You literally stand facing a wall and push yourself away

Didn’t want to go to the gym but I did anyway. Summer nights are hard for me. Finding myself wanting the “unwind” feeling after a long day. I’m fine during the day and then when I stop-I have to fight it a little bit more. Anyone else?? I know it’s worth it. But sobriety is HARD y’all!

Thanks. They mightn’t be in fashion (as if I would know anyhow), especially on “younger” men, but I freakin’ love mine and it ain’t going anywhere. Once it’s established and you own it, I think other people start to see it.
