It’s nice to not feel like crap from being sick or drinking! Also, it’s never to early to break out Halloween gear :skull::heart:

Yes Cro-Mags!! I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from John Joseph in my recovery. Love his attitude on spirituality, diet, clean living. Great dude :+1:

Chief’s first experience with this kind of terrain, and he was an absolute champion navigating the rocks and various spiny plants. Very proud of him. Not surprised, he’s always been tough and full of confidence, but he really just went for it and kept up no problem. Had himself a nice swim at the bottom of the canyon.

Looks like a fun day! I’m gonna do some hiking next month. I’m always jelly of your well trained dog. Mine are decent but no recall so they are always on leash

Thanks! I’ve trained him that way from the very beginning, starting off in fenced-in fields just in case he decided to bolt. He has his rare moments where he loses focus (usually distracted by a plant or something that we walk past and he wants a prolonged sniff), but other than that, he won’t go more than 5 feet away from me. Doesn’t matter if there’s another person calling him, or another dog, or a bird to chase, etc. He won’t go without my say-so, which I am very grateful for.

I do keep him leashed up though whenever we’re anywhere remotely near somewhere that has cars etc or a lot of people.

We took ours in off the street. I’m probably lucky the training I got to stick lol honestly they are pretty good about waking with me and basic commands but the things you listed, they try to bolt with the leash.
