I notice the same, especially with running. If i take anymore than a week off from running, it deteriorates so fast from there. I’ve actually had several people recommend swimming to me in the past, based on my body shape. That could be the next thing incorporated into the routine.
My grandad (Dad’s Dad in Ireland) used to walk 10-15 miles a day well into his mid-80s. Always, always fit right up until he passed.
