I injured my foot and it stopped me from running.
You know, it’s really hard for somebody who was obsessed not to be able to run :scream:
But look at my face - smiling.
I heard that it doesn’t help to be in down-mood.
I can’t say that I accepted the fact of not being able to run for weeks/months imediatelly, but I got there eventually and quite fast I must say.
I know that body can’t heal (at least not for long term) if our soul is broken. And it wouldn’t be me, if I wouldn’t think further. And therefore I’m using the free time to self-reflect and to read signs my body is giving me. What am I doing wrong, why was I stop from running?

The answers are there in silence. And I know that it takes honesty and sometimes little bit of braveness to face them. My answers are slowly getting shape and I believe all the inner hard work is going to be seen soon :pray:t2: Then there is the other, even harder part of recovery to be done. Besides of understanding what’s wrong I need to repair it, too. Implement it into my life. Learn and apply  Wish me luck :four_leaf_clover:

Good luck @Jana1988 … you are always a winner! My goodness, I didn’t realize you were on crutches to walk … you’ll be back to running soon. I’ve been on “injured” list for two months and getting a lot of it back finally and hopefully. It is a drag to get literally stopped in our tracks when we just want to go, go, go. Heal quickly.

That happened to me as well. I craved both sweet and salty carbs for about a month or so after quitting. Girl Scout Thin Mints and Airfryer Tater Tots were my go-to foods. The cravings petered out after that.

Maybe try swimming as a substitute for running while you rehab your foot?

I agree with your insight into healing. Many years ago I started looking up spiritual reasons for illnesses and aches and pains due to not being able to breathe properly, waking up at 4am every morning. The spiritual reason is linked to grief. At that time I was grieving the one person in my life who loved me and had died. It all made sense and once I worked on accepting her death more, my breathing and sleeping improved.
I hope you can work through what’s happening to you and make a full recovery…blessings :butterfly::butterfly::butterfly:

Both those things sound delicious! Whilst I am very much enjoying eating all the treats, I’m hoping that it peters out for me too soon
