All our European-names towns are smaller. I went to uni in London. London, Ontario, Canada.

Not anywhere near the same size as London UK :joy:

New York is pretty big. But that’s “new” York. Same or different? Hmmmm

We’re like the people who can shop at thrift stores and put together a good outfit. Take the old and make it new again :star_struck:

There’s a lot of different perspectives on where to go if you’re visiting the US - which is to be expected for such a large country :innocent:

Personally most of my experience (visiting from Canada) has been in the northeast (the “New England” states), where I’ve been around New York State (the Adirondack mountains for hiking & camping, and visiting friends in Rochester and New York City), and I’ve visited Boston, in Massachusetts. I would highly recommend New York City or Boston, both have lots of history and lost to do and see.

Something I would definitely recommend if you’re visiting the northeast is the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream factory in Vermont. It’s so good - sooooo good:

Also in the northeast is Hershey, Pennsylvania, famous for the chocolate, if you’re a chocolate fan :yum:

Basically any large city in the US has lots of stuff families can enjoy. Each region has its own cuisine, its own culture; there’s lots of variety. You have to try Texas BBQ if you’re down there; you’ll never look at BBQ the same. If you’re in Louisiana have some Cajun food. Visit Disneyworld!

Something to put on the list - you can use the money you save from not drinking :innocent:

Used to live in Norfolk, Virginia. A lot of cities in the area have English names (Suffolk, Portsmouth, Gloucester, etc.) There area is usually referred to as “The Old Dominion”. Good to know, right?

I’m actually considering relocating to NC. My favorite YouTube channel, The Outdoor Gear Review, is filmed there and I miss the country every single time I watch!
