I lived there; I don’t about love. Nothing really wrong with it, I suppose. But I lived in a city and it’s really quite expensive. I’ll take an off-grid cabin in the woods any day.
I love in a town named for King George (Georgia, Vermont) and the " big city" closest is St Albans, named for the English town. Lots of places in New England are named for English, French, and indigenous peoples’ place names (in that order).
Way cool. I’m from OC also
Nice. Love the OC
which one is you??
That is awesome to have history from that era in your backyard. I am born and raised in southern California and the furthest our history goes back is maybe early to mid 1800’s during the gold rush. Haha sorry i love history.
Day 1216. Hope my whole fam on here has a happy and healthy and sober 4th. Remember…we are here 24/7 so come on here if you feel alone, craving or want to talk to someone. Be well
Just me. No makeup. No filter. No cute outfit. Just simply as I am… fearfully and wonderfully made ❤️🔥✝️
Oh, ok I know there’s plenty of UK folks on here so I’m sure there’s a chance for you to do a meet up
@DryIn785 haha, I live in VA now, NoVa, you aren’t lying about the expensive. I’m in the DMV so everything is 4x more than the average cost in the rest of VA, Fairfax to be exact, but with the growing office space in Tysons, and the competition for housing around here it’s just getting worse, you can’t touch a 1 bedroom pad for under 1500 here and that’s cheap. And apparently Fairfax, Yorkshire, and such are also old English names. Of course you got Prince William and King George as well.
Apparently from what I’m gathering the concensus is if you are willing to travel from Manassas or Woodbridge the costs go down, but with gas prices currently, eh it might not offset.
@Matt I used to live outside of Hershey, did my fair share of time at chocolate world, will be there next weekend with my kids as they have a huge amusement park there as well.
Ya you are!! Looking great Flannery!!
So, my daughter loves Giraffes, so I took her to the zoo for the first time to not only see Giraffes, but to also feed them! The 2nd picture was the moment she saw the Giraffe up close!
@Mindymoo, you are absolutely right. As a Yorkshireman myself I can confirm that the law which says it is legal to kill a Scotsman with a bow and arrow inside the city walls of York Is still in effect. I’m pretty sure Common Law would trump it nowadays and it’s not a lawful excuse or a defence to murder so don’t get too Robin Hood like on your trip.
There are some blinding local bylaws in this country like - it’s illegal for a woman to be topless in Liverpool city centre unless she is a clerk in a tropical fish store.
It’s also illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament. (If you did spontaneously drop dead in there they wouldn’t pronounce you dead until you got to hospital, because you would be entitled to a full state held funeral which would cost millions)
Hope you have a good trip back up here!
Looks like you found your long lost twin!
Thank you Eric
Leeds/Bradford Border, little town/village called Pudsey (The place the children in need bear was named after)!
Oh yes there’s a reason it’s referred to as Gods Country! Mainly because of me but I suppose the scenery has something to do with it
Nice to meet you too, I’m Richard
“I know you’re tired i know you’re hurting, i know your broke down to the bone, but your bills are paid and there’s smiling faces waiting on you at home” woke up listening to “working man” on the boat this morning. Have a blessed day everyone.
Day 1046
Haha! I’m not that Richard…. Delusional maybe but not that I’m god. I do have the body of Buddha tho! .
