It is mostly a peaceful thriving place but there is also toil. It is a battle against aphids, fungal disease, and ground squirrels.

Thank Amazon. With their opening HQ2 in Crystal City driving up housing costs in that area, it’s creating a displacement wave. We feel it out in western PW County. If your in the WAMTA service area, your housing costs will be high. It gets a bit easier about 40 miles from the DC line.

When I used to have just a small urban garden it was sufficient to introduce predators and let it be. But I have a much larger garden these days out in the middle of nowhere in the country and I cannot grow brassicas without constant monitoring.
