5 months is awesome man, even if you do stay in your room some days, who cares?
Whatever you’re doing clearly is working much better than before you went to treatment so keep on going. Proud of you

Life can be hard, my mental health can be a struggle sometimes, but it’s vital to shine a light on what is good, what is working, and how far I’ve come. Today, Halloween, marks 3 years since I started my recovery journey in earnest, and a year and a month-ish binge free from alcohol. It’s unseasonably warm and my pup and I are taking a moment to soak in the rays (while we still can…winter is coming!), taking the space to reflect a bit and find my gratitude. My profile shows I joined TS October 31, 2019, and I love that I made a choice to seek help and resources online on my favorite holiday, which I was thoroughly screwing up by drinking that year, missing the trick-or-treaters and dressing up. I was fed up and did not want to repeat that. This is my second (EDIT THIRD!!! Though 2020 didn’t count because we did not celebrate…COVID, etc.) sober Halloween and I’m very proud of all the milestones I’ve accomplished and things I’ve learned about myself. It’s hard work to get better, but the work pays off and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Hang in there, amigos.
