Went out there in this blue dress just to bring the paper trash away and enjoyed some looks I got 
Now I’m waiting for the laundry and then: me-time and some cooking later (potatoe salad)

Behind me is a poster of Janis Joplin, bought from a music store window back when I was 17. It’s a big one (90cm x 1.3m) and she’s travelled everywhere with me over the years. She has been rolled up, folded, unrolled, unfolded and blu tac"d above my bed in maybe 13 different homes over the last 27 years. She is creased, torn, cherished and oh, so very loved.
She is perfectly imperfect and now sits framed on my staircase wall. Oh the stories she could tell, she has been witness to my highs and lows, she carries my secrets and sorrows, dreams and nightmares. It may seem strange that I have a great attachment to this lady, a poster on my wall, but she will always be with me. She is a precious possession who’s worn and lived physical appearance, reflects and connects deeply with the stories, memories and scars that I carry within.
