I applaud you for taking Dutch lessons, it’s such a b*tch to learn because of all the irregularities! For example: in English, you fly a plane/kite/flag etc., whereas Dutch uses different verbs for all of those, who came up with them rules!

I guess me being German, I had it quite easy to learn! I live in Spain but I speak Dutch every day, because I have Dutch speaking colleagues!

I’ve always thought that speaking foreign languages keeps your mind plastic and young. And it forces one to select words and phrases more carefully, so maybe the communication is clearer, leading to greater peace in the world.
