Germany always has some of the best kits in world football. Year in, year out.

Correct. Some iconic teams as well. Klinsmann and Mattheus were two of my favourite players growing up

Klinsmann is pretty well disliked around here due to his embarrassing stint with US Football.

Our whole US football program is a disgrace though. The blame canā€™t be pinned on him. Some of the better MLS teams could probably beat the US menā€™s squad.

Edit - I did mean to add that one of my favorite footballers ever was/is Schweinsteiger. I have gotten to see him play in person a few times since he came over here.

Yeah wasnt a great coach was he. You see that a lot though. Great players. Awful coach. I used to have a US shirt with Landon Donovan on the back. Lost it though :persevere:

The US national team suffers because the MLS is a graveyard for 35 year old European players to make one last big payday. Too many foreign players on the league, same with England really. Our national team suffers because young English lads cant break through in our league, although that is slowly changing as our youths are picking to go and play league football in Germany at a very young age.

This was the problem, but it is changing rapidly thankfully. There are much better younger players coming up that are from here, from US soccer systems. The quality of MLS has increased drastically over the last 5 or 6 years. Gianluca Busio is his name. Saw him play this season (I have season tickets for my local MLS club).

Thereā€™s actually some kid right now on the Kansas City team (SKC) whoā€™s 16 or 17, getting bids/interest from the likes of Fiorentina, Inter, Man U.

Weā€™re doing much better in terms of growing our own talent, rather than the ā€œold wayā€ of bringing in aging European stars (which we still do as well). I think itā€™s a reflection of the increase in the gameā€™s popularity here. More kids are growing up watching it and playing it.

Exactly. Get more kids playing it at a younger age. Pulisic looks absolutely fantastic for Chelsea. Didnt realise he was American till my mate told me, got a bit of a shock. Easily one of the best players in England right now

Heā€™s playing very well. Never got to see him in MLS unfortunately, Dortmund scooped him up before he could get there.

120 days today. :+1::+1::+1:

Thanks man. Yeah, Iā€™m down from 205 to 192, as of Monday, getting my diet in check and hitting the weights have been a big helpā€¦and I havenā€™t cut my hair in over a year.

Those could be the biggest changes. Plus, people arenā€™t used to seeing ā€œworkā€ me. Itā€™s always jeans and tee shirts, or gym selfies.
