I didn’t even rip it. Just took some time selecting the wood. Could have used a ripping though as 1 piece is a little curvy and the glue didn’t hold it, nothing the kreg can’t handle though. I took a circ saw to it and cut a hole for the cooktop. I never understood the sink in the island, I prefer to hold court while cooking, not doing dishes

Gonna be stained here soon, then flooded with epoxy so it’s waterproof and smooth.

Woodworking is one the things I have really enjoyed since getting sober, easy medium to use and I love the rustic look.
