Sober Selfies #5

Amazing photo right!? … I’m imagining in the back ground there is a line or hundreds of Vikings about to climb over and attack lol… You know like in all the game of thrones type shows lol… It looks very medievil I think :joy: but I do have a huge imagination so there’s that :joy::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:… Geo you look like you have conquered a mountain! Nice work :trophy:

View from the top of Fat Mans Loop. Good Saturday for hiking. Very steep but short loop climb. Will be sore tomorrow. 2 hours is plenty for us old geezers.

Nice! I’ve done Fat Man’s Loop before.

Me too. To my fridge for some ice cream, then back for some pizza, then back for some more ice cream. And then a brownie, what a accomplishment

Oh yes. 3 miles, ten minute speed rope session. 4 sets of 21 on biceps, and then was picking up my 100 pound punching bag over and over in case I ever get in a fight I can body slam the shit out of someone :joy::joy:. Jk jk I’m not that guy anymore. But I had autumn doing some push ups with me, and trying to teach her the speed rope as well.

Ya we liked it first time out. We always get lost. No exception here. :grimacing: Trying to find a regular good hike we can do on a regular basis. I think this could be the one. Close by. Easy access. Morderate good workout and not too hard for this old man and old lady. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow.

Your beard is my inspiration Tommi. Well, when you had one.

It was a grey day for bearded folk when you shaved that off!!

Good morning Fam! Day 37 here… I’ve been busy cleaning house and laundry already this morning. The husband is currently extremely hung over. I hate that he is still stuck on this roller coaster. He always talks about stopping and hasn’t been successful yet. I’m trying to be patient, show him how great the sober life is without shoving it down his throat. He will get there. Hopefully soon :crossed_fingers:

Congrats on day 37! I’m sure that’s frustrating that your husband still drinks but good for you for not trying to force sobriety on him; that could turn ugly very quickly. Hopefully in time he will see how much happier you are and follow your path.

I can’t say I blame the guy… for years I always thought it would be impossible. Like, I literally equated sobriety with the end of everything I knew. I had friends who stopped drinking for a few months at a time here and there and I always looked at them like they were super heroes. I don’t think I was really ready to stop back then.

It sounds like you were ready and hopefully he will be soon too. At least now you can be a good influence :slightly_smiling_face:
