I had to quit actual barbell squats because it was something I noticed made it worse. I do similar exercises though with no problem. I may try them again eventually bit I think the issue is mostly because I have an atrophic, inactive left calf and a short left achilles. Cant keep the left heel down and my left calf doesn’t activate. I figure that causes the left hip/back to take the brunt.
I do a few different type of rows. Seated cable row (wide and narrow grip), seated machine row, and then a high row with the pulley and rope.
Gotcha I have the same prob, literally you should see me when I’m jogging lmao😂 or waking. I walk like a penguin bc of it. Just keep it up, it will get better. I watch alot of athlean x and it helped alot. Found some really good stretches for it.
Thanks. My new PT discovered I have a leg length discrepancy when I first started in late August. Of all the PTs, doctors, chiro I had seen – nobody had caught that before. As you can imagine, day to day that’ll irritate things…let alone running on uneven legs, which I’d been doing.
Putting the lift in one shoe helped a lot. I honestly think what caused tjis flare up was my PT masssging my lower back on Monday night with way too much pressure, and then I did leg stuff tuesday. Even though I am very careful to not use my back in the lift, and actually went pretty light this week, I think the activity level and tenderness from the PT visit just did it in.
Struggles are required in order to survive in life, because in order to stand up, you gotta know what falling down is like!
I struggled yesterday, I’ve powered through today.
Can’t believe it’s been a year and a half already. Despite a really hard year and current season I’m in I have a lot to be grateful for and too much to risk. For me, to drink is to die. All about healthy coping skills and being present. Keep up the fight. You are all an inspiration.
