I can’t believe how you can do this, but each to their own I suppose.

Actions matter more than words. Let his doubts be the motivation to prove him wrong. Be sober. Be better. Keep going to the gym. Eat right. Manage stress in healthy ways. Don’t say. Do.

And he will see.

That looked like me on my military press. I hit 215lbs for 2 reps. That’s the first time I went that heavy since surgery
 it was rough.

it’s crazy how this stupid floor machine has made me feel shitty about myself. I’m pretty good with these machines, and a wire came lose to vacuum up the water. Well idk I told my boss I could fix it, I tried some electrical tape before, didn’t work. Today I used some hot glue and tape and walah it was working great. I got just about done and what do you know it starts cutting out again. Just silly tidious little things can make me feel like such a failure and loser. I fibbed to my boss bc she asked how it went and I said great because I felt ashamed with myself. I am telling myself its out of control and doesn’t make me a bad person.

I hear ya man but don’t let it get you down. There are always going to be things like that we can’t fix no matter how skilled we are so don’t blame yourself!

I would bet that if you weren’t sober you wouldn’t have even tried to fix it, or maybe wouldn’t even have that job. So in the grand scheme of things you’re still kicking ass :muscle:

Thank you, yeah you’re right. I definitely wouldn’t of even bothered saying I’ll fix it before. And no I definitely would not still have this job if I didn’t get sober.

There’s your positives Mike. So, the machine didn’t work, why is that your fault. Surely you are not insured to fix it but you did. There is a positive.
Mate, really don’t be hard on yourself. Remember this is all part of recovery.
Chill bro.

Maybe she should get a new one though if it’s not working right; you did everything you could’ve done, sweetie.

I know. They have to have specialist come in to replace the part, he just came in a replaced the battery which was 1000 dollars. She won’t even try to buy a new machine they cost like 20,000. I tell her who cares it’s the states money but she won’t buy a new one. It’s winter now and we need this machine tho, that hall is over a mile long one way and I ain’t hand mopping all that shit, no the fuck sir I think not.
