Iāve used Elixir for years but recently switched to a Martin Retro Nickel medium gauge strings. I really like these, they donāt sound unnaturally bright as the coated variety. Down side is you gotta change them every other month or so, but are less than elixir, so thereās that.
Do you like med or light gauge? Iāve alway been a medium kinda guy so never really tried light.
Maybe we should start a GoFundMe for his airfare

I like med with a low tension point. My dear stepfathers brother left a strat in his basement. And as Iāve never really been into strats I wasnt so fussed about playing it but a couple nights ago, I had a play as I know theyre easy on the hands. I didnt put it down for about 3 hrs and eventually found out that he uses Elixir strings - the same my former guitar teacher uses on all of his guitars. Theyre a dream.
Ah, Elixirsā¦so exquisitely smooth, so darn expensive.
I dyed it a burgundy colour lol but I did trim my bangs myself. Lol
