Sober selfies

Well in my head time is creeping slowwwwly… :hugs:
21 november I see the design she has made for me involving my and her idea’s. At 3 december is my first tattoo session out of two.
It’s hard to wait. I think it’s my addictive brain who still wants a quick fix. If I want something I want it NOW. Do you have tattoo’s Gareth?

No I havn’t got a single tattoo, I would like one but I have never seen anything that I would be happy having on my body forever.
I don’t think it’s your inner addict wanting it now, you have wanted this tattoo for quite a long time now. You have submitted your idea etc so I think that your actually being quite patient. Is it going to be painful? I hope you will share a photograph of it when it is done and healed. :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:

Are you still in bed Yee lazy fecker:joy::joy: in only joking.
Nice tat, tag I can imagine them being addictive, with my addiction track record if I had one I’d probably end up with them all over my face :joy::slightly_smiling_face:

I’m a skinny girl so yes I will feel it :hugs: But I manage. It’s my 4th tattoo, but this one is the biggest one. It takes a while before it’s done and healed, I think the end of february or so. Maybe I share a picture, I don’t know. We’ll see

If you do comfortable sharing it then I would love to see it, it’s up to you though. Will she have it drawn up on paper, your could always just take a picture of that. I’m excited for you. Between you and Conor @Conor689908 you might just convince me to get one for my one year soberversary :slightly_smiling_face:
It’s probably better if you can just share a photo of the drawing on paper, you don’t want a picture showing your full back on the internet :+1:

I’ve got my idea’s on pinterest so start looking on that Gareth. And most of all find a good tattoo artist and do not be afraid to spent loads of money for it :hugs: Mine cost €140,- an hour and my backpiece is about 10 houres work.
This is my one year sober present too by the way, so earned every needle stick of it!

Oh if I was to get one I would definitely spend good money on it. I’m not posting some amateur a cheap price to practice on me :joy::joy:

We have a television programme in England called ‘tattoo fixers’ where people go to get a tattoo cover up live on TV as they have had a really rubbish or really silly tattoo find when they have been drunk, I don’t want one like that. It’s a funny show, you may be able to watch it online :joy::joy:

I’ve heard that behind the scenes some people havn’t been very happy with their new cover up tats but I don’t know how true that is. They have to be better than the old ones, it’s not like they get much choice for the new one though is it. They get two maybe three different options and the artists are sat there so there’s a bit of pressure on you to choose one.
I saw it the other night and one of had had a picture of a drill tattooed on his arse, the women tattooist asked him to explain it so he said’it’s because I used to drill loads of women’ you sound have seen the look on their face, they were disgusted. He got it done in his stagg do aswell. Imagine coming back and getting married and in your wedding night you have a drill out a picture of a spunking penis tattooed on your bum :joy::joy: EEJITS !

Haha I don’t even want to imagine where it is. Have you ever seen one when a guy goes on and has one on his knob, that sketch (artist) always has to do them as no one else will do them there. You have to be a bit wrong in the head to get one there :joy:

You’ve got @Yoda-Stevie on your arm  It’s need! :star_struck:

@crystalclear she is right! In 2012 (when I first started to get my drinking/life reeled in), I lost 60 lbs in 6 months and have kept it off ever since. My experience was much the same as @Rae. It is hard at first. Starting from baby food and up, there is so much sugar pumped into the food we eat, especially in the US, and often in foods you wouldn’t expect. We are literally conditioned from birth to crave sugar. This coming from a guy who had hot chocolate and s’mores poptarts for breakfast as a kid.
It takes a few weeks but you can re-wire and ween yourself off it. Once you’re through that stage, it boils down to resolve.

Its the opposite now, after all this time. I just don’t crave sweets anymore at all. Do I still like them? Absolutely. Ice cream especially. But I eat them very, very sparingly and don’t feel as though I’m denying myself. I don’t even think about it.

You can do it!
