Sobriety tattoos?

Just curious if anyone on here has a sobriety tattoo? I’m getting one today. Would love to see yours.

Not if, when… change your thinking. You can do it.

I have a devil on my shoulder. So I never forget what alcohol is to me.

I got the same pretty much, except its a dude named the Crimson King from a Stephen King book, hes pretty much interchangable with the devil tho…gonna get the protagonist from the story on my other arm one day.

I am getting a cover up of a tattoo that represented active addiction. She was a gypsy with swords crossed under her. I was always the girl who got away, and I knew I was the only one who would ever protect me. My most influential ex, the only man to ever leave me, had a similar chest piece. Mine reminds me of him, and reminds me of running away from other men when things began to get real. So I’m getting her covered up with huge bold filigree. It’s a long process, but it’s a good motivation to keep up with my weight loss efforts too.

Thats badass man!

@anon86726034 oh yeah…u know Dandelo, the last villain Roland meets where he finds the artist that goes to the tower with him is pennywise right? Plus theres the whole Maturin the turtle connection in both too

@anon62920945 I had been meaning to ask you how that was coming along.

@Neighbrofthebeast668 I was thinking of getting some other shit added to it later, like a bunch of empty bottle and cans or something like that. I want to make it a darker “scene”.

I LOVE your guys tattoos!
Thank you for sharing.

It’s going, slowly! We took a break last month but we just made an appointment for next Sunday to start shading on the second half. There is SO much more to go after we finish the outlines we have now, but it’s coming along!

Been kicking around the idea of getting a tattoo for years. I planned in getting one when I became Master but never did. Maybe I could combine sobriety with martial arts somehow.

I got mine the first time I really got sober, for over a year and a half - the ONLY period of time in the last 18 years. I was finally free of my vices.
I’ve since thrown myself into a 2 1/2 year relapse but after jail, treatment, and all that jazz I’m on the road to recovery again and almost a month clean.

I surprised myself getting mine. It doesn’t just represent my sobriety but it’s a reminder of how my life has changed in the past two years.

Thank you.

I promised myself that when I hit 1 year, I’ll get a tattoo over my self harm scars. Hopefully that might keep me motivated

I have a bunch of sobriety tattoo ideas.

  1. A lotus flower with unalome (the beauty that grows from the muck)
  2. A heartbeat line with a semicolon (my new life after choosing sobriety)
  3. Three birds on a branch (“Don’t worry, about a thing. Cause every little thing’s gonna be alright)

I don’t know how I’m going to choose!!!

I would love all 3 plus a vegan tattoo and a little elephant…my husband hates tattoos. LOL He basically accepts the 2 I already have but I don’t think he’ll go for more. I will get a sobriety tattoo though.

I should say that I’m leaning towards the lotus…mostly because I’ve wanted one for a VERY long time. Long before sobriety.
