Oh sorry I meant bicycle too. I have never thought of a motorcycle, now there’s an idea!
I’m a truck driver. I picked up my “load” at my home terminal. The trailer number I was needing to grab is 7345 but instead I grabbed 7346! I drove from Springfield MO to Chicago IL which is about 500! So now I need to drive back which makes that lil more than 1000 miles altogether how freaking awesome is that!
Dang…not fun at all!!! So sorry. Hope traffic is light and roads are smooth safe driving
I listened to a talk about winning the inner struggle. Great point: you have to go on the offensive, you gotta feed the good side of you. Encouraging talks, podcasts, gratitude….the negative addict side for me personally thrives on negativity and petty behavior. I call literally feel it crying out. I know it’s my addict self wanting a “hit”. No thank you. Keep it positive and keep it moving
Love this !
I rode a regular bicycle for years, I come from a family of cyclists. I sold my road bike last year and got an electric bike. It is SO FUN!
I always thought it looked fun. I may have to try it. My daughter would love it if I did
Financial planning. So rock n roll now i need to switch my brain off
Today is a busy day for me, no time to think about drinking. I run my churches food pantry and on Fridays we do a huge food distribution. Got home about 3pm, pleasantly exhausted, took a nap and now I am working on a quilt. Staying busy, idol hands are the devils playground.
Put headphones on, listened to a book and just cleaned. It helps
I had lunch with a few of my friends from church. We discussed the upcoming Christmas holidays and how we are going to help a few families in the community through our ministries. Came home, got some house work done and knocked a few things off my honey do list. Now relaxing and catching up with my support groups.
Had a smooth day at work. A little achy, tired and sore, but satisfied I put in another honest day’s work. Sitting alone in my car at Starbucks right now, listening to tunes and enjoying a Venti iced coffee…having myself a little soul time before heading home.
Didn’t do anything too awfully out of the ordinary. Went to church, came home, watched some football. Took a nap. Went back to church for an evening conference, came home watched more football, had dinner. Now winding down with some NCIS reruns. Too busy to think about the drink!

Got the day off from work today, so my agenda so far is…
Sitting in bed still at 8:05 A.M., enjoying my second cup of coffee.
Give Mom her breakfast and meds when she wakes up.
Take my car to get washed.
Hang out for a few at the coffee shop and do a little journaling.
Take some flowers to my old piano teacher’s gravesite. 🪻
Simultaneously
- 15 minute walk
- Listened to my jazz music with a encouraging talk about my DOC overlayed.
- Got back to the office and did 10 pushups/10 squats.
That’s how i have to go at my cravings. I can’t be passive and HOPE IT GOES AWAY. I have to go on the Offensive and attack it with encouraging talks, music, and exercise. Otherwise, my brain is too cunning and will find a way to put me in harms way.
Worked at my church pantry for about two hours. Packed for my upcoming trip to Ohio. Watched the Buckeyes play football while sipping on a Fresca!
Put others first
I did lawn work , played football with my oldest son and painted rocks with my youngest … the painting was really helpful
I went on a TS ZOOM meeting and talked to people from Finland, Ireland and The Netherlands. I never had so many friends from Europe till I showed up here. @Milele I must be a damned yankee with my apple pie and fahrenheit temperatures!
Today I struggled. While talking to my spouse about normal eveyday things, you know things dealing with taking care of the house and stuff that needs to get done. I found myself getting angry over the conversation and escalated it to a point that in the back of my mind I said “I am going to have a drink today.” However I did not, I took my dog for a very long walk, listened to some music and chilled completely out.
