Lunch is provided free, at the expense of Sandpoint’s taverns. Each brings its best dishes—this event is as much a marketing push by the taverns to win new customers as it is to feed a hungry crowd. It soon becomes apparent that the darling of the lunch is, once again, Ameiko Kaijitsu, whose remarkable curry-spiced salmon and early winterdrop mead easily overshadow the other offerings, such as the Hagfish’s lobster chowder or the White Deer’s peppercorn venison.
Now is the time to mingle with the locals and learn about Sandpoint if you wish.
Glenderis (elf sorcerer) receives an urgent telepathic communication from her family. She must go home immediately. Popodoneris, an elder elf has taken sick, and only she can help.
She leaves immediately, before even attempting to socialize. At home she’ll be able to see the Sandpoint goings on whenever she looks into calm water.

A large, lean, mean, and lightly clothed figure wanders through the courtyard keeping to himself. He looks for a bit to eat, hovering around the balance beam to see how the game is played.
As the butterflies are set loose he looks up to watch them flutter away in amazement. Quickly realizing his hood has fallen back, he regains his composure and pulls it back up glancing to gauge the reactions around him quietly with his head low.
Unlikely that you’re able to forsee much rather than a general sense that something is very wrong.
Some people see you. They dont make a fuss about it, but you can tell that they’re giving you a wider berth. You do see that there are some half-orcs in the crowd, but very few.
Boo. I had imagined that she could do all sorts of things. Like Spiderman and Wonder Woman, for example.
… and Galadriel and the mirror
As a 1st level adventurer, you’re unfortunately a pretty weak competition. Galadriel is like epic level, 30+
Trav sighs and nods. He tosses a coin to the balance beam keeper, hood down.

Given class bonus your total still comes to 9. You almost make it across, but dont “fall”. At least you didnt make a fool of yourself.
Trav huffs, blushing, then laughs to the vendor “A fine challenge, haha!” almost forcing it.
Swept up in the village’s spirit, he throws his cloak back on and strides toward the smell of salmon curry. He doesn’t have much coin, and hasn’t had a good meal in days, taking mental notes of the streets as he wanders about.
After the dazzling butterfly spectacle, the likes of which he’d never seen before that he could recall, Bastargre quickly grows bored of watching anything else. He considers the parable with curiosity, but struggled to make any sense of it. Maybe one of the acolytes could explain. Having already eaten, now, when the food was drawing the crowd’s attention elsewhere, might be a good opportunity.
Bastargre slides down from his spot on the roof to go track one of them down. His legs grow heavy, though, in hesitation. What would they think of him? Did they look down on gnomes? Did one of them see him try to steal the free food, and would they care? With a couple of deep breaths he steels himself and walks on over. He’s hoping to talk to a fellow gnome if one is present, but otherwise Father Zantus himself.
Sweat begins to bead on his forehead as he introduces himself.
Moritus remains mostly solitary as he sips the fine mead and partakes of the venison. Large crowds and the autumn sunshine are just not as cozy as the warmth of a hearth deep in the mountains, in the mines of his forefathers. But endearing in its own way…
The scant jangle in his purse and the taxing journey remind him that he’d best find a little work. A strong shield arm is always in demand, if the demand for blessings and prayers is low of course. As the music starts, Moritus paces around the dancers and keeps his eyes peeled for bounty posters and his ears keen for whispered rumors.
Perhaps Tobyn might have brought him here for a grand adventure. He wanders throigh the crowd in search of the law man first…
The Dungeon Master looks on at the spectacle.
Ameiko serves you up a platter, “Welcome to Sandpoint. I havent seen you around these parts before.”
