The Feb29ers (Feb 29th, March 1st)

@Maria

I think anger has great power. If you hold it within, it will kill your or it will turn against you.

When I was a kid, I wasn´t allowed to be angry or loud. I adapted, became the Little Miss Sunshine.

Now I see the consequences. Depression is aggression turned inwards.

Be with us, stay with us, be angry, be sad, be goofy, be everything you are! You seem like a perfectly lovely person :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Ugh I was so excited about day 4 being done but my clock shows I’m just hitting day 4 in an hour. Must’ve been a timing thing (Saturday - Tuesday). Oh well, it’s still over halfway to a full week! Woke up with a headache again. Anyone find they are more sensitive to carbs? Craving carbs? I recognize how much they have been cut out… Wondered how that impacts our reactions to them.

@Maria Please don’t ever feel like you can’t share. If we can’t be ourselves then who are we to be? I hate that you have gone through this. Can I ask what exactly is the nerve condition? Only share if you want. Also, try to find help. I think the pride in us doesn’t want to admit that we need it. I find that people who do show their weakness and struggles are more real to me. I can relate better.

Hi Everbody,

What´s the 30 day challenge?

My afternoon will be THE challenge. After work I´m goung to see my mother and sister, who are like those two old guys from The Muppet Show…always critizing, nagging, being condescending. Afterwards I always needed “comfort”.

So it´s quite possible that I need your help!!!

@Journey1 you are on Day 4! You´re doing so well! Keep going dear!

Sorry about the headache, fortunately I do not have them yet. Craving carbs? Not more than the usual.

But I feel constantly thirsty!

@Journey1 one thing I do know is that when you cut out carbs significantly, you can feel sick, like cold and flu type sick. But I crave carbs when I am tired. Sleepy me wants all the pasta, bread, and doughnuts.

@Marisim we will be here!! As for the 30 day, I think @AnonymousD was going for a health/fitness type thing. Last night I found a 30 day book to read through. So whatever people are up for I guess.

Yes! I cut them down not just with drinking but consciously as a whole since Friday night. Then I had a delicious sandwich for lunch yesterday on focaccia bread and struggled hard in the afternoon - was just dragging.

If I were you, I´d allow myself the carbs. Leaving the booze behind is enough of a challenge, in my opinion…
Maybe that contributes to your headaches or causes them?

@SoulSearcher @AnonymousD

You mean like working out for 30 straight days? Any workout would do?

Thanks for that advice! I will be kind with myself, at least for the initial 30 days. I’ll keep the group posted re: reactions and whatnot. Maybe I have an intolerance I didn’t even notice before, or maybe this is part of the whole thing…

Just to give you a heads up. There are a few threads on here about the Annie Grace 30 day experiment.
It’s actually helped a lot of people.
I don’t know if you guys are doing it, but I’d advise to search around on here any questions you might have about anything,
When I first started it was a cornucopia of information and advice.
Carry on!

I experienced that a lot. it is very common with yoga. alle emotions, actions and situations we come across in life settle in the body. the good, the bad and the ugly stuff … due to lifestyle, our overactive society but also personality we do not discharge enough. like animals do in the night. we keep it tight, and moving the body sets its stagnated energy in motion. especiallly practices like yoga were the focus is inward and we create a safe space to let it out. depending then also on the physical focus things can come up. hips and pelvis can bring up anger for example, backbends and chest area can bring up grive and fear (lungs), but also love that is stagnated (heart) I cried a lot during yoga first years. and still when I take a class sometimes it overwhelms me. the tears coming during savasana (final relaxation) sometimes feel sad and beautifull at the same time. maybe because it is realy a funerable pose.
