The life of me (Part 1)

Nice.
This is the last one I did…
I have another waiting in the wings but haven’t found the right time to start.

It looks like you have a nice fancy setup! I just do mine on the kitchen table. Are those little plate things to separate colors? That seems really handy
Follow up question- Can you roll the puzzle up?

Yep.
Those puzzle piece plates are for sorting.
They actually came inside a puzzle I bought… I had no idea they were included :joy:
They are super handy

Bottom right part of sand must’ve been a bastard.

Beige…beige…beige…

I love puzzles! But with cats knocking pieces on the floor and dogs ready to eat them…just is a hassle! I need a better setup.

Checking in. It was a meh day. Work went fine and then I worked on my puzzle for a bit. I’m pretty sure I’m on track to finish by Christmas. I went back to work for a bit to work on new home orders but then I was like why am I doing this so I went back to my puzzle. The hubs wants to go see the new spider man movie tomorrow afternoon and got us tickets. Apparently it was almost already sold out! I’m hoping we have a good day. I can tell he is trying to be more open with communication and I’m grateful that he is trying to just be more in tune with me in general.

Happy for you Jenn. Puzzles are part of life - and it’s nice to work on putting pieces together. I hope you get your puzzle finished to your satisfaction :innocent:

Checking in. No complaints here. I went to the gym this morning and had a mediocre workout, cleaned a bit, cracked some pecans and worked on my puzzle then did a virtual workout which was much better. Got ready and the hubs and I went and saw Spider-Man. It was good. We haven’t been to the movies here. They have legit recliners! That was really nice! Throwing a selfie on here cause I felt pretty. Just a bit of mascara and lipstick

You look great! Very date-ready. They have those comfy chairs here, too. Hard not falling asleep. We are going to see Spidey over the break.

The movie places back in Texas had some nice comfy chairs but none of the ones I ever went to had a full on recliner. It made the movie more enjoyable for sure!

Glad to hear your day went well, puzzles are alot like life or our relationships they take time and we just need patience to try get them together, cant force or rush things. Its nice to get dressed up and go out remember to do some self care. You look happy.:grinning:. I always fall asleep when i go to the movies with the nice seats.

And yet, when I keep it simple and just put on a bit of mascara and lipstick I’m darn sure I don’t look as nice.

Doing my check in early. Work was insanely busy but it’s expected as our homes are preparing for Christmas. Every year we are open but every year they prepare for us to not be lol
The hubs and I are on our way to our first marriage counseling appointment and it will be late when we get back home so I’ll be going straight to bed

Good morning guys
Little update- the first and most important thing. We both like him. He noticed and said things that were hitting the nail one the head. We touched on the hubs always being defensive, me feeling unseen, my abandonment issues. All sorts of things happened in that 1 hour. The therapist is really smart and insightful. I’m grateful google lead me to him. The hubs was really open and honest about so many things. I was surprised but so proud. It’s hard for him to open up much less in front of a stranger. I was open with my alcohol struggles and the hubs was open with his doc struggles. When the therapist asked how and what he is doing to stay sober he could only say me. I hope this journey helps him close some things in the past and he can find a way to be happy in the now. We have our first homework assignment. A book called Hold me Tight. We are suppose to read it together out loud and discussion what resonates with us. He said we just set a timer and read for just an hr or so. I ordered it from Amazon and it will be here Friday. We won’t have another appointment for some weeks because the hubs work schedule is about to be back on rotation but the therapist just said to focus on the book when we can and schedule the appt when we can. Our plan next time is to make a whole day of it. The therapist is in Lubbock so it’s a bit of a drive but worth every mile
