I’m looking forward to getting started. Felt a great kinship among the women there. I think that’ll be my for sure, no matter what happens, go to group. How’d Teddy do while u were at work today?

Aa steps was really good for me my old sponsor was a old timer and worked me hard … but I loved every min of it … I’ve got the na work book and there’s so much paper work! But I know In my local rehab they do steps through na cos u go very deep and it’s great to get our crap out x

Yeah I’ve got a lot of crap to get out.:joy::slightly_smiling_face:

Some people in ca do the steps in 30 days then wonder why they relapse!

Think it depends on how u want to work the steps I’m working my 12 steps daily and feeling great I do need a sponsor though. I’m going to my local drug clinic on Monday to see about voulantry work 4 addicts x can’t wait x

I’ve been in talks with the Amy Winehouse Foundation, if they get the funding for the north west then they have said they will train me and send me in to schools. I just hope that they do get the funding as it will help me massively aswell as hopefully stopping some kids going down the same road. I did help out a bit at my local cgl but too many old using associates were coming and trying to derail me.
Go for it though it’s rewarding and strengthens your recovery at the same time so it’s a win win. :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:

@Shell how was the bus ride with Ethan? Hope you guys had fun.
@Conor689908 I’m so sorry you are sleeping so bad. Hope tonight you will sleep like a baby. Some solid 8 hours or so
To everyone else good evening beautiful people
Had an exhausting day… Didn’t go for my normal run but definitely will do this tomorrow. So was a bit in a bad mood in the morning. Little Luan is a typical two year old. I thought I’m going crazy today. There can be just a little thing wrong like I put his cereal into his bowl when actually he wanted to do it and the whole breakfast is ruined… Today I just wished myself onto a deserted island with just myself on it :desert_island:
I went to visit my sister in town and he long wanted to go with the train so we took the train while my husband and Malian stayed home and did gardening. Thank God it was just 20min on the train although he behaved well and was very interested and happy to be on a train… I’m exhausted today because his temper drove me nuts… I had to tell myself many times today this too will pass and is just a phase in his life
God then I love to spend time with Malian. He is just so understanding and such a “grown” up although he also has his moods…
In my life few weeks ago I would find this a perfect reason to drink. Saturday night. Exhausted from my kiddo who drives me crazy sometimes so I would “deserve” a hell of a drink only to wake up on Sunday hangover even in a worse mood and dragging myself through the day with little patience for my kids. Oh nooooo. I never want to go through this again. Going through these phases of my kids is much more bearable and less annoying without drinking… At least I’m staying with a clear mind
So now off to TV. No chocolate for me today. Instead having some good fruit and tea.
Thanks guys for reading. I’m feeling much better already :hugs:

@anon35096624 hang in there with your son. Two is a rough age! Generally speaking, two year olds are very unreasonable so it’s perfectly understandable to be worn out. It gets better. I promise. Love that you recognize it’s not a good reason to have a drink though! Enjoy your TV and sober evening!

Great news Cristel, so pleased for you :slightly_smiling_face:

Evening Julia, those terrible twos certainly can be a trial of our patience can’t they! One day soon it will be passed though and you’ll remember it strangely fondly just like all the others stages and your right it’s so much easier sober.
Ethan is much more settled this evening so the bus tripped worked it’s magic  until the next time! :joy:

@crystalclear when I read your posts I would swear that you have been a member for more like six months of I didn’t know any better. You have a really positive effect on this forum .
Don’t let that go to your head though.:laughing::joy::+1::slightly_smiling_face:

You’re so right @Shell about eventually missing the toddler years. My teenagers have me longing for those days lately. I remember thinking it was so hard back then but now I look back on it fondly. Weird how that happens.

Well that’s a very nice thing to say! It’s my first go round with sobriety but I’ve had some experience helping people in desperate places. Just never have tried to help myself. Mostly has been related to mental health issues. A lot of the things that work for sobriety work when trying to talk someone through a rough patch in their life. Not sure I’m explaining this well. Appreciate your compliment though. I won’t let it go to my head! Promise.

I understood perfectly, with everything you seem to be taking in then it seems like you could crack this thing on your first time around which is bloody brilliant. A lot of that recorder is applicable to this sobriety thing. I see your doing plenty of reading aswell, up to three days now. I like to read the old and even ancient threads that pop up at the bottom.
If you keep your reading up you will end up with 23 days read time accumulated like me, ha you can tell that I don’t have much going on outside of this place.:+1::slightly_smiling_face:

Hey how can you check what your own read time is I dunno how to?

Click on your Avi (profile picture) and it takes your in to your profile, then select summary and it tells you your read time and how many posts and threads that you have read along with your comments that have received the most likes etc. It’s quite interesting and a handy way to find something you commented on and want to go back to. :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:
