Congratulations on 4 years :four_leaf_clover::sunflower:

Sorry about your health, that sounds awful. Sending strength and kind vibes, and hugs if you want some :people_hugging::people_hugging::people_hugging::people_hugging:

One is for sure: Being sober you can deal clearheaded with all the issues and handle the situation as good as possible for you and your family, do what’s necessary, enjoy quality time where it is possible and focus on today.
None of this would happen stoned, weed would take away the presence and quality time.
When we have to deal with hardship, the stinkin thinking crawls back and the addict voice raises her head. It’s deeply engraved as unhealthy coping mechanism and the addict brain remembers the false promise of a non-happening shortcut through.
When my brain goes down this road I kindly and lovingly but strict to my bones take it back on track by HALT, meditation, journaling, sharing, taking good care of me and a non-negotiable, sometimes loud said NO, we don’t do this anymore, we take good care of ourselfs.

Please come here and share, you are not alone :people_hugging:

Very often, the symptoms are present when we are using drugs & alcohol, but stay hidden until we stop using. Then they show up and we mistakenly blame sobriety for their emergence.
