I remember this! We did share the water in our family :smiling_face: (west Germany gal here). I think because my mum was from a region where that was common (Ruhrgebiet).
Others in our village didnā€™t do that.
I also was taught that you donā€™t need to shower every day, except you are very dirty or sweaty. A washcloth does it :wink:

Now I remember something! Snicker Dates, oh I have to make them again. Fill a Date with salted nuts and peanut butter and cover everything in chocolate. Sprinkle salt all over. A dream :smiling_face:

I dated (pun intended) an Iranian who introduced me to taking a pitta bread, filling with feta cheese and walnuts, and sprinkling honey. I used to crave intensely. I cannot eat dairy or bread anymore, so your option works for me.

These are one of my favorite things to make!! Another fun version is to fill the dates with cream cheese and walnuts. Then dip in chocolate.

I donā€˜t count ā€žtalking to inanimate objectsā€œ as a strange habit. Everybody does that. At a minimum after they stubbed their toe on something.
