I miss (UK) Crumpets
Which is not the same as crumping!! Lol
What’s crumping?
I’ll never forget one of my first shopping trips in the US.
A lady came up to me and said she liked my pants. I said thank you, but was horrified!! Spent a while trying to work out how she could see them
I haven’t had crumpets for ages. I have a cook book with a recipe for crumpets in it. Might give that a try this weekend!
Oooh. Let me know how it goes (i.e., is it worth me begging you for the recipe?)
No I was meaning that the kettle would probably cost more.
It’s a dance style and is actually with a k…krumping.
Americans say
”What’s up?” which I think means “what you been doing?”
In the U.K. if you asked that you’d get a response “nothing I’m fine”
crumpet is also sexual goings on or a good looking woman, corrr she’s a bit of crumpet, I wouldn’t mind having a bit of crumpet with her. Sorry but I don’t invent these things. And I can’t explain what muffin is on this app.
, shocking
Yikes!!! I think I would have questioned thar request
When I first moved here, I was still in the habit of greeting everyone with “Alright”.
Geez! I had to lose that really quickly
(they’d look horrified/confused and ask if they didn’t look alright)
I say
“EY UP PAL”
Or
“NOW THEN”
Bet I’d get a lot of funny looks
You’d be right!!!
Yes. I often think I’m going to be electrocuted.
The UK plugs are much bigger, but fit securely!
Yep they are all phrases I recognise. I think of chin wag as being quite old fashioned but I have definitely got to the point of having to look new slang up on urban dictionary, so I’m not a reliable indicator of what’s on trend
Now I’m getting nostalgic
They are all real
