Haha I don’t know how well used it is in London any more. A couple that I am aware of:

Apples and pears
Dog and bone
Ruby Murray

Someone who literally hangs around the goal in football.
When I was a kid it generally ment someone who didn’t actually do any work but just stood by the goal waiting for someone to pass the ball to them.

The kaasschaaf! Love the Dutch word for it. I thought it was a Dutch invention too but found out just now it was invented by Thor Bjørklund from Lillehammer in 1925. Never too old to learn.

Salty wins :grinning:. We call it a flessenlikker or bottle licker and use it to get the last yoghurt and such from the bottle.
