So it is already proving to be at least a bit hard to quit, right? If you haven’t achieved sobriety straightaway? Accepting that you are having difficulty and you need help to quit is the first step. And you have done that if you have joined here. It can be a bit of a blow to the ego to realise this. That others can drink normally and I can’t. I know I struggled with that a lot.
If therapy and peer support seem a bit strong for you yet, have you tried reading any books about sobriety? Or watching podcasts? Making an effort to read or listen to something regularly can help to focus on the process and be a promise to yourself that you are doing things differently this time.
