I decided three years ago to stop mowing my lot. It’s a little over an acre, about 25% covered with a stand of white pines.

I just didn’t see any benefit in using gasoline and creating noise to remove the habitat for nesting birds and other critters. Now, I live in the country, agricultural /residential zoning and no HOA to deal with, so it is a possibility.

And I know @Ray_M_C_Laren is probably cringing at the sight of it!

Front door - Lame (fresh paint, new carpet soon (says the landlord))

Backdoor - I am fortunate to be in one of the two apartments (out of 8) that has one.

LOL, thank you for this, even though it’s probably in jest. The other posts were killing me! My view is garbage – a house literally 15’ on each side, and apartments behind. Meh, at least I have a roof over my head, I guess.

OK that’s it, I’m done with the internet today.

Sorry, I hope I never offended. My home is helping me stay motivated to enjoy being sober. I just love working around here with the sea smell in my nose and not spending anymore time moaning and groaning about a hangover inside.

I hope you enjoy your weekend

Your house is BEAUTIFUL. No need to apologize. Thanks for sharing a little corner of your world with us. It looks peaceful.

Thank you. It is and I love my life. Well every part of it except my lack of control once I have a drink. Twice per week getting smashed then 2-3 days per week recovering was leaving me 2 days a week to try and live and appreciate what I’ve been so fortunate to have built. I do not wish to take things for granted any longer.
