Hi Jenny! Ive just started my sober journey and weight loss journey as well! One thing i have found that really works for me is intermittent fasting! I fast for 16 hours and have a 8 hour eating window i plan my meals by. you can download apps and set up a good plan for yourself but ive lost weight before by using this method. I also like theres no calorie counting and no special foods. Its definitely another option to look into!

@Taylorh welcome! And you are absolutely right about IF! I used to fast 16:8 as well, for about half of year and I was feeling great! I would totally advise it to everyone and definitely I must start again. I donāt even know why I gave up on this and start eating chips and Ben&Jerryās late in the evening (when kids are sleeping ) instead. Now that I work, 16:8 would be quite difficult so I will do 14:10. Eating window 8am till 6pm. Not super demanding but still beneficial.
Thanks for reminding me about this great tool and once again, welcome in community, itās great place to be. And speaking of tools, this app is keeping me sober, without it who knows where would I beā¦

It didnāt surprize me after months of no walking ore exersize and eating comfort food.
From now on healthy food and I hope to be able to walk a bit soon. But easy does it. I do not want that plaster back on my feet again.

Eat healty yesterday, so Iām not worried about what the scale said this morning.
My normal weight is 54 kilo, so I have the same slim body like you have @Mischa84 . My lenght is 1.72 cm. When I gain weight itās at my waist, so my pants sits too tight.

I checked in this week at my lowest weight (Iāve managed) since I was mid to late twenties. So, in over fifteen years. In my teens I was underweight, I donāt class that now as healthy or something I want to aim for.
I donāt want to disclose my weight really, or discuss exact ideals or goals, but Iām proud to have lost between 22-26 kilos in the last two years or less. Iām more focused on a private aesthetic around strength and how I feel.
More importantly, my muscle mass has increased and Iām starting to feel toned.
I busted through my 150 lb plateau a couple weeks ago, I think I got down to 147. But we had to put our dog down this last week and Iāve reverted back to some pretty unhealthy emotional eating. Binging pizza and ice cream and candy is not going to bring back or heal my beloved baby. This weekend I am planning to get back on track and use my healthier coping mechanisms like going to the gym, visiting friends, watching awful reality TV (not the healthiest lol), reading, knitting. No point in making a bad thing worse.
Also a good reminder of how far Iāve come with my sobriety. I didnāt even think about drinking except to notice that I wasnāt at all interested in drinking!

My own fault, I binged yesterday evening. Came home after work tired and hungry. I caved in.
So today Iām fasting.
Iām up .8 pounds this morning. First increase in weight in over 2 weeks. The internet suggested that it was water weight as Iāve been consuming things with a lot of salt in them. Iām going to see what I can do to cut out more salt from my diet. Have a great day everyone!
